Description
Upper Crust's name takes inspiration from the oven baked products having a crispy upper layer and also addresses the target audience, the upper strata of modern India. Started on April 2nd, 1989 by Lester D'souza, who studied at IHM and completed his training from Taj Mansingh, Delhi, Upper Crust is his dream venture. In 1994, he was joined by his wife Monisha and together they started their second outlet at Vijay X roads. The culinary expedition started off as a bakery which later diversified to become a fusion food chain. Upper Crust then went on to become a household name in international cuisines and catering, displaying a unique selection of Starters, Indian, Fusion, Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Thai and desserts and confectioneries. Lester and Monisha D'souza have created a legacy for their children, Aditya, who is studying hospitality in the UK, and Natasha, who is interested in patisserie and is already an aspiring pastry chef.
