Surekha Restaurant, situated on Ghodbunder Road, Thane West, near the Dahisar Check Naka, is known only to people around that area. It is run by a family, where the main cooking is done by the owner's wife personally. This is an amazing restaurant, serving all kinds of vegetarian and non-vegetarian cuisine. But it specialises in non-vegetarian food. Its sea food is especially heavenly. Their sea food is not only always fresh, but is heavenly in taste and served piping hot, by very polite waiters. I recommend you to especially try the following sea food dishes .... Fried Bombil ( Bombay Duck ), Fried Halwa ( Black Pomfret ), Fried Surmai ( Seer Fish ), Fried Mackarel ( Bangda ), Fried Indian Salmon ( Rawas ), Fried garlic prawns etc. Ofcourse, even their mutton & chicken dishes are extremely delicious The restaurant is medium sized with seating for about 30 people. Hence, it can get crowded during weekend. So best is to try and visit on weekdays.
