Ishani Priyadarshini, and her quaint new eatery Surfiré The Coastal Café take you on a tasty ride through Coastal India, and expose you to a glimpse of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa.There is a twist in the tale, though. ALL the food here is REALLY LOW on chillies. Guests who like their food red hot are requested to ask for extra chillies. You will get a "normal" dosa if you choose to eat one, however you will also find dosas stuffed with Mutton, Chicken, Egg and even Chorizo, spicy Goan sausages! Crispy Chicken and Babycorn here take on a whole new avatar when tossed in a Curry Leaf seasoning, and the humble idli gets transformed into crispy, spicy Masala Idli bits! Varieties of rice flavoured with Lemon, Tamarind and Curd are available, as is Sambar, very tasty and very different from what one usually gets in Kolkata.
