Dundlod Fort
Description
Dundlod fort is run and managed as a family heritage hotel with authentic Diwan Khana and areas of the Fort being maintained in the old style. Dundlod is famous internationally for introducing the Indigenous Marwari horse safaris from 5 to 9 days trips all over Rajasthan. The safari is lead by the owner Thakur Raghuvendra Singh of Dundlod. Many international TV documentary and well known equine photographers have visited Dundlod along with many celebrities. The Royal welcome with horses and riders in traditional cavalry dresses is well known. Meals are authentic Indian and Rajasthani, specially cooked for the guests as less spicy to suit their taste. Dundlod village has been declared as a Heritage village and houses many beautifully painted frescos in the Havelies, some of which have been converted to museums. The village has a well planned heritage walk. A visit to the largest Marwari horse stable in India with 60 to 65 indigenous horses is a wonderland in itself.
