DueNorth Saur Cottages, offers you a unique opportunity to enjoy the quaint charm of Saur, a quaint hamlet beautifully nestled in the Shivaliks. Its verdant valleys, terraced fields and sparkling streams are a joy to behold. Saur cottages, are old Pahadi houses which have stood the test of time. These cottages have been restored using locally available stones and pine wood, as per traditional architectural practices in the region. The original character of these cottages has been carefully preserved to showcase age old practices and heritage. Location: Saur cottage is located at 5600ft in the Kanatal region of Uttarakhand's Tehri District. Saur is approximately 13kms from Chamba (Uttarakhand) and 10kms off the Rishikesh - Chamba - Mussoorie state highway, between Chamba and Mussoorie. Food: At Saur Cottages, we offer a sumptuous mix of Indian, continental and Chinese cuisines. We also offer a selection of local delicacies which our guests love. Facilities: Saur Cottages - We have two fully furnished family suites. Each suite has two bedrooms, a dining room, a sitting area and a private bathroom. Each suite can comfortably sleep 4-5 people. Saur Huts - We have two fully furnished huts that comfortably sleep 2 people. Each hut has two beds and a private bathroom. Climate: Typical of hill weather, the days in Saur are bright and sunny and the nights are cooler with temperature ranging form 26 C in summers to 2 C in winters. Every family suite has been provided with room heaters, electric kettles and hot water bottles to keep you warm and cozy. Activities : At Saur, you can enjoy a range of activities, like short hill walks/nature treks, cultural walks, bird watching, photography, local handicrafts exposure trips, night camping, outdoor adventure activities. We also have facilities for building bonfires and barbecuing. Connectivity: Saur Cottages are easily accessible from main road head. There is newly constructed road that leads to the Cottage. It is a pleasant drive from Dehradun via Mussoorie OR Rishikesh. Popular day-trips include excursions to Surkanda Devi, Dhanolti, Chamba and Tehri dam.
