If you want to describe Kenya in one word, it would be: 'Magical.'

There is something for every kind of traveller and here are a few exciting things to do.

Feed Giraffes
You can feed giraffes after climbing to their heights on the structures built specifically for this. If you are adventurous, you can let them peck those pellets off your tongue. You can experience this from an hours drive from Nairobi. If you want, you could even have a lovely continental breakfast laid out around giraffes.

Adopt a Baby Elephant
Every morning and evening, the cutest baby elephant come to feed in between their time in the forest. The baby elephants are orphans who are rescued from the wild feed on huge bottles of milk is one of the most endearing sights in the world. You can adopt one of them, and you get a monthly report card on how they behaved that month. If this doesn't melt your heart, what does?

Kazuri Bead Factory
When in Nairobi, you must head out to kazuri beads and see how they come to their colourful life, starting as a dull grey mud. There is a whole factory which converts these basic mud to bright beads, mugs, jewellery and so much more.

Mountain Climbing
You can go to the mountain climbing expeditions. The safe and not too tricky Mount Kenya is a beautiful climb. There are other hikes like the extinct volcano, Mt. Longonot and the Hell's Gate, which are very near to Nairobi.

See Flamingos
Did you know? You can see the beautiful flamingos flying in a flurry of pink, at Lake Bogoria, the whole year round in Kenya. It's such a treat to the eyes!

Spot the Big Five
Masai Mara: you can try and spot the big five at the Masai Mara national park. As the terrain is flat and vast, it is easier to spot wildlife in Masai Mara. So the chances of spotting wildlife are higher than anywhere else in the world. If you are lucky, you may even witness a kill.

Witness The Wildebeest Migration
If you want to see the famed phenomenon of migration of wildebeests, Masai mara is the place, and August-October is the time. You can take a hot air balloon and dreamily float over the vast plains and watch the animals from a height. Watch the sunrise and fill the plains with golden pink hues.

Visit The Equator
The equator passes through Kenya, and you can reach it at Nanyuki, not too far from Nairobi. They showcase some exciting experiments on the Coriolis effect and even give you a certificate!

Stay At The Ark!
You can stay at the Ark; a boat-shaped forest lodge which has a watering hole next to it. So from a lookout balcony at the lodge, you can wait to see all the animals make their way to sip water. With strategically placed lights, the place offers a stunning view of of the animals drinking from the reservoir at night.

Night Safari
Have you ever thought of the jungle happenings at night? There are night safaris that throw light on the magical places that these jungles transform into. You can track some lionesses and her cubs, or watch bushy-tailed rabbits scurrying away or the majestic elephants suddenly appear in front of you, their dark grey colour merging with the darkness or come across hordes of deer unconcernedly munching on the grass.

Chill in Pristine Blue Beaches
Mombasa is a coastal town, and the beaches are a natural shade of blue with a bed of white sands. You must experience the joy of African beaches at least once in your lifetime.

This country has so much more than what it seems like the Amboseli reserve famous for the elephant hordes with the backdrop of the stunning Mt Kilimanjaro, the Nairobi national park is very close to Nairobi city is another beautiful place to see Giraffes and zebras, the Mount Kenya Safari Club which houses an orphanage for destitute baby animals, the African shopping markets to see and buy the precious artistic skills of the African artisans. Like I said before, Kenya will surprise you and how :)
