Why You Must Try Bira’s Newly Launched Lager- Rise

Rise is India’s first-ever premium rice strong beer. While lagers are brewed mainly from malted barley, Rise is a rice-forward version of a light and pleasing beer.

Packed with a light body, and a clean and crisp texture, Rise makes for a highly sessionable drink. The rice base ensures that the beer is dry and light on the palate, while the Sorachi Ace hops give it its pleasing citrus aromas.

Being aware of the affinity Indians have towards rice, Ankur Jain - Founder and CEO of Bira91) came up with the idea of Rise - a lager made with rice grains sourced from coastal parts of India combined with Sorachi Ace hops from Japan to develop a local connect with an eccentric flavour.

With less than 8% ABV, this thirst quencher is dry and light on the palate with subtle citrus aromas. Rise can be paired well with curries, spicy dishes, and barbeques, as rice beers work well with these. Rise ranks 18 on the International Bitterness Units (IBU) scale which makes it a mildly bitter drink.

This beer will be available in 330ml & 650ml bottles and 500ml cans in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh to begin with, and will soon be launched in Karnataka.

Be it an evening out with friends, or a cosy night in, RISE is the perfect companion to be with.
